CITRICOS IS IN!
I went to Citricos at the Grand Floridian last week and had the absolute time of my life! It was THE BEST MEAL I’ve had in Disneyworld in a long time and I wanted to tell you all about it!
the ambiance
I will be so honest with you, I’m always a sucker for the Magic Kingdom Resorts. They feel so true to the Disney vision, they feel like another world in all different ways, and they transport me to the places they honor and are modeled after! Citricos is no different, it’s stunning; with a view of the Grand Floridian, A little Bit of the Poly and a pinch of Magic Kingdom… no matter where you’re sat you have a stunning outdoor and indoor view! Inspired by Mary Poppins you’ll see a little hidden mickey as you’re being seated and that’s her wonderful never ending bag! In the restaurant there’s a bar, lounge, and 2 stunning dining rooms; Surrounded by chandeliers, whites and blues, I would have no problem dining in this luxury every night if I could!

SEASONAL SALAD- This might be one of my favorite salads of all time and I will simply go to Citricos for it! It’s a strawberry salad with fresh mixed greens and goat cheese at the bottom! FOR ME, I usually HATE goat cheese but this is the best I’ve ever had and has totally changed my mind! For the dressing, it has a BACON VINAIGRETTE. Yes, you read that correctly and I absolutely asked for extra because it was that good.
BRAISED PORK BELLY- This was absolutely unreal. The most incredible starter and I have no notes. If there is pork belly on the menu, chances are I’m getting it and it was delicious. It’s salty and sweet with a sweet plantain puree, pickled apples, and pippin verde.
CORIANDER SPICED COBIA- THE SEAFOOD DISH OF MY DREAMS. This was my first time having Cobia and it was an amazing medium flaky white fish seasoned to perfection, not too much and not too little. It had the most amazing sides and sauce including avocado kalamansi vierge, yuca asada, hearts of palm, and pickles Fresno.I could simply have this every day and be happy as can be.
MACCHIATO- BEST DESSERT EVER and I’m not even a chocolate person. It was coffee, chocolate-y, with an Irish cream cremeux. It also came with a Chile chocolate sauce which was AMAZING.
MAGIC IN CITRICOS
We truly had the most amazing experience from top to bottom, start to finish. The service was amazing and so incredibly helpful; my mom has a severe gluten allergy and she was able to truly enjoy and relax during the meal thanks to the knowledge of the staff. Citricos is without a doubt one of the best restaurants on Walt Disney World property and the next time you want to splurge and treat yourself, it needs to be your next stop!
